Forrester criteria ratings
According to a widely circulated Forrester report, there were 3 main criteria that executives consider when making decisions about retaining a user experience design firm for a critical project. The three criteria are listed below in order of importance:
1. Industry expertise

3. Access to senior-level management

Why large interactive agencies fail on usability
A recent Forrester study titled: "Interactive Agencies Struggle With Web Usability", cast a very harsh light on the ability of large
interactive agencies and their ability to create usable web experiences for their clients. The Forrester study rated 36 reference sites
provided by large interactive agencies as examples of their best user experience work. Only ONE of these 36 reference sites received a
passing score on Forrester's Web Site Review. That's right, 35 out of the 36 sites designed by the largest and most aggressively marketed
interactive agencies, failed the Forrester usability audit.
While a large interactive agency can provide compelling visual design, increasingly these agencies lack the professional usability expertise necessary to provide the appropriate balance between usability and visual design. A balance we now know is required to create user experience design solutions that deliver on actual business performance metrics.
At MauroNewMedia, all user interface design programs are managed and reviewed by a certified human factors professional. Our interface design methodology has repeatedly proven effective in creating highly usable and visually compelling user experiences.
